Elsevier
The UK academic research landscape has undergone significant changes as research becomes more multidisciplinary and global in nature, while government policies are putting pressure on universities to be more accountable in their research performance. As an organization that is dedicated to improving scientific research outcomes, we at Elsevier believe it is crucial that we collaborate closely with UK universities and understand their key challenges in responding to this new reality. We would like to engage university vice-chancellors and provosts in a much-needed dialogue on the implications of UK government policies on their universities and how the research enterprise is evolving as a result. Through such an engagement, we hope to contribute to solutions that best address the challenges that lie ahead and ultimately help advance the frontiers of science.
