The UK higher education funding bodies have now published their consultation proposals for the design and conduct of the Research Excellence Framework (REF), which will replace the Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) as the method by which research will be assessed for the purpose of the allocation of their research funds.

To coincide with our Research Funding and Assessment: the Future conference on 14 October, we will be publishing our response to and analysis of the new proposals, in more detail than our initial statement.
