HEPI / Elsevier Roundtable Dinner: #MeToo? Challenging behaviours in higher education

  • 16 July 2018
  • 6pm for 6.30pm to 9pm
  • Royal Society, 6-9 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1Y 5AG

On Monday, 16th July 2018, HEPI and Elsevier will be hosting a roundtable dinner at the Royal Society in central London.

There has been a cultural shift across all sectors to confront and deal with challenging, destructive and abusive behaviour.  The higher education sector is arguably no different to any other when it comes to workplace bullying, assault and harassment.  The roundtable will be considering what can and should be done to ensure those working in higher education are effectively nurtured and supported, and what changes need to happen to the ‘eco-system’ of the sector to create the right environment for success for everyone irrespective of age, gender, ethnicity or sexual orientation.

The guest speakers will be Professor Jackie Hunter, Chief Executive of Stratified Medical and Professor Tom Welton, Dean of Natural Sciences at Imperial College, London and chaired by Dr Diana Beech, HEPI Director of Policy and Advocacy.

Invite-only. For further details, please contact Sarah Isles, HEPI Development Director at [email protected]
