HEPI / Elsevier roundtable dinner ‘Universities and the changing research landscape – how will it play out?’

  • 2 July 2019
  • 6pm - 9pm
  • Royal Academy of Engineering

Our long-running HEPI research roundtable series provides a forum for senior leaders and policymakers from across the sector to discuss the impact of research policy on UK universities.

The new series of HEPI / Elsevier roundtables will be launched at the 2 July 2019 dinner, with the focus on the recent major piece of work  undertaken by Elsevier, in partnership with Ipsos Mori, which sets out 3 future research scenarios – Brave open world, Tech titans, and Eastern ascendance – and explores how they could play over the medium to long-term.

At the July roundtable we want to bring together a group of senior leaders to test the hypotheses laid out in the report and determine the impact this new world of research, and the key drivers of funding, could have on their institutions.
