2018 HEPI University Partners’ Annual Policy Briefing Day

  • 19 April 2018
  • 9.45am - 2.30pm
  • Clore Management Centre, Torrington Square, Birkbeck, University of London

Each year, HEPI organises a day on higher education policy developments exclusively for our HEPI Partner organisations, which provides an opportunity for colleagues within our partner institutions to discuss the key issues that dominate the HE agenda, with the HEPI team and guest speakers providing expert policy advice and guidance.

The 2018 day will look at:

  • Where will the ‘stress points’ be in the new system of regulation?
  • What will be the key issues in the front line of HE politics?
  • How can institutions best navigate their way through the challenges ahead?

Chaired by Nick Hillman, HEPI Director, speakers will include: Dr Diana Beech, HEPI Director of Policy and Advocacy; Jack Grimston, Speechwriter, consultant and former Sunday Times education correspondent; Gillian Hargreaves, journalist, former BBC Education Corrrespondent; David Palfreyman, Bursar, New College Oxford, Director of the Oxford Centre for Higher Education Studies (OxCHEPS) and a member of the OfS board; Alex Proudfoot, Chief Executive, Independent HE; Professor Adam Tickell, Vice-Chancellor; University of Sussex.

Each of our HEPI University Partners has a reserved seat at the Briefing Day, with additional seats available on request (subject to availability).
