On Thursday 10 March 2022 HEPI and Advance HE are jointly hosting a webinar on equality and diversity. Universities’ equalities obligations are well known, but how do we balance these priorities alongside broader issues and tensions around the presence of institutional racism, a mental health and well-being crisis, sluggish social mobility and continuing gender disparities? How do leaders support all these priorities at the same time, particularly during a pandemic? A whole institutional approach is powerful, but how does strategic organisational leadership and governance need to evolve to encompass all of the related issues?
