This time last week saw the 2018 HEPI Annual Conference take place in London, with keynote speeches from Sam Gyimah MP, Minister of State for Universities, Science, Research & Innovation, and Lord Mandelson. We have since published both speeches on our website (available here). We have also published the PowerPoint presentations used by speakers Jon Wakeford (UPP), Jonathan Neves (Advance HE), Nick Hillman (HEPI), Professor Nick Petford and Sir Anthony Seldon (all available here).
The Conference saw the launch of the 2018 edition of the annual HEPI / Advance HE Student Academic Experience Survey. As ever, we are pleased to make the data freely available in both Excel and SPSS formats. A link to the Excel file is provided here, but please contact us if you would like access to the SPSS file.
Finally, to mark the event, which was held at PwC Embankment, London, we launched the seventh Policy Note in our collection, written by HEPI Director of Policy and Advocacy, Dr Diana Beech. The Policy Note – entitled Change is coming: how universities can navigate through turbulent political times – marks the end of our 2017/18 work stream with PwC and examines the main strategic challenges facing universities today.
The HEPI team would like to thank everyone who attended the event for your continued support. We are always grateful for your feedback.
