Internships

We occasionally take on paid interns, generally a couple of places for two to three months over the summer. If this might be of interest to you for 2026, please submit a specific idea for a project that you would like to work upon and which:

• fits within HEPI’s charitable objectives;
• can be written in a way that keeps to our Style Guide; and
• which might be of interest to us.

In the past, the topics that HEPI interns have written about include:

1. student mental health;
2. decolonising the curriculum;
3. student fees;
4. Oxbridge;
5. the decline in language learning;
6. the education of young men;
7. the student experience for PhD students;
8. student debating societies;
9. information for higher education applicants; and
10. the gender awarding gap at Oxbridge.

Applications for an internship at HEPI during the summer of 2026 will be open between 1 March and 31 March, during which you should send your CV and proposal to Emma Ma [email protected].
