At last night’s Prospect Think Tank of the Year Awards, sponsored by Shell and the Institute of Directors, the Higher Education Policy Institute (HEPI) triumphed in the ‘One to Watch’ category.
The judges particularly recognised the strength of HEPI’s work on the cost of student loans and on the quality of students’ academic experience.
They said HEPI had become the ‘go-to organisation’ for information on changes in higher education in the UK.
Nick Hillman, Director of HEPI, said:
‘This award is great recognition for the work HEPI has done over many years.
‘When I became Director six months ago, I was determined to maintain our reputation for high-quality authoritative research, while also branching out to new areas.
‘We are over the moon that Prospect have recognised the work of a small specialist think tank in this way and we will strive to live up to our One-to-Watch billing.’
