Writers with strong opinions on what Scottish independence might mean for higher education are invited to enter the Higher Education Policy Institute / Times Higher Education Scottish independence essay-writing competition.
Essays do not need to cover all the consequences of independence for higher education and may focus on a single angle.
Prizes: The best piece on each side will win £500. Both essays will be published in the Times Higher.
Deadline: Please submit entries to [email protected] by 3 July 2014, including name, address and email details.
Length: Entries should be no longer than 1,500 words.
Anyone may enter from any country and of any age.
