HEPI Privacy Notice

Who we are

The Higher Education Policy Institute was established in 2002 to shape the higher education policy debate through evidence. We are UK-wide, independent and non-partisan. We are funded by organisations and universities that wish to see a vibrant higher education debate as well as through our own events. We are both a company limited by guarantee (company no. 4503712) and a charity (charity no. 1099645).

What information we collect about you

The information we hold will typically include your name, postal and email addresses, your phone number, job title and place of work.

How we might use your data

We may use your information to keep you updated on HEPI’s activities, events and reports in order to further our charitable aims. We will only use your data where we’re allowed by law, e.g. carrying out an agreement we have with you or because we have a legitimate business interest or where you agree to it.

Events

If you sign up to one of our events, we will ask for your name, email address, job title, organisation, postal address and telephone number. We may use this data to share information about the event with you, either before the event or afterwards.

We may then store your information in order to contact you about any other HEPI activities we think you may be interested in.

Information that we might share with you includes details about forthcoming events, reports and ways in which you can become more involved with us.

Summary

We collect, process and store your data safely and securely and will hold your details until you tell us you no longer wish to hear from us. If you wish us to delete or remove your information from our systems, please email admin@hepi.ac.uk. We will always try to ensure that the data we hold for you are up to date, reasonable and not excessive. We will not share or sell your data with third parties for their own use.
