HEPI / Kortext roundtable dinner in Bristol, Thursday 9 May 2024

  • 9 May 2024
  • 6pm for 6.30pm to 9pm
  • Bristol

The launch of ChatGPT in November 2022 made generative AI freely available to every student and, since then, the availability, breadth and capabilities of AI tools have rapidly expanded, becoming ever more sophisticated. The speed of these developments has led both students and higher education institutions to take new approaches to learning and teaching. Yet many questions remain around these tools: How they are used by students? How much can their use aid or hinder learning? What effect will their use have upon the integrity of assessment? And what can institutions can do to ensure AI improves the student experience and outcomes in the long term?

Research by HEPI and Kortext investigates student attitudes to generative AI, exploring how students currently engage with AI tools and, as ethical boundaries begin to solidify, what use is considered acceptable.

On Thursday 9 May 2024 HEPI, with support from Kortext, will host a roundtable dinner in Bristol.

Please note this dinner is invitation-only. For any queries, please contact Emma [email protected]
