AI has pushed the higher education sector to reframe how it approaches teaching and learning. The learning process is constantly evolving, but new AI tools to aid productivity, what about learning gain and the human touch? Providing thorough and timely feedback to students can be labour-intensive for staff, without a formal way of seeing improvement until assessment. Could AI be used ethically to personalise feedback and monitor learning outcomes? What are the risks in doing so? As technology continues to advance, the roundtable dinner will discuss the ways in which AI-generated feedback could be used to facilitate learning, promote engagement and optimise educational outcomes.
On Monday 9 September 2024, HEPI and Studiosity will host a roundtable dinner in London to discuss whether the use of AI in academic feedback can increase academic achievement and learning gain.
