The University of Bristol, with HEPI and Advance HE, invites you to the launch of a new report being held at Woburn House Conference Centre in London on Wednesday 2 April from 3pm to 5pm.
The Benefits of Hindsight report explores the views of current and former students in the UK about their university choices, and whether with hindsight they think they should have made different decisions about what and where to study. Based on new survey findings, focus groups and interviews, the report explores what choices undergraduates and graduates think they should have made, why they think this, what the consequences have been for them, and whether or not they wished they had transferred course or institution.
The report concludes by making recommendations for those providing advice and guidance to students thinking about going to university, as well as to universities, government and regulators on ensuring greater flexibility once students are at university.
Speakers to include:
- Professor Judith Squires, Deputy Vice Chancellor and Provost, University of Bristol
- Professor Nicola Dandridge and Professor Richard Watermeyer, University of Bristol (co-authors of the report)
- Nick Hillman, Director of HEPI
- Jonathan Neves, Head of Business Intelligence & Surveys, Advance HE
- Oli de Botton, Chief Executive, Careers Enterprise Company
- Ben Jordan, Director of Strategy, UCAS
- Andy Forbes, Executive Director, Lifelong Education Institute
