‘Is there still a UK-wide higher education sector?’

On Tuesday, 2 May 2017, HEPI and Unite Students hosted a roundtable dinner to consider the current status of the UK higher education sector and how the four parts of the UK have implemented different policies. Held at the Blythswood Hotel in central Glasgow, the dinner welcomed guest speaker Professor Sir Ian Diamond, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Aberdeen.

    While most research shows that opportunities for women in the workplace have been slowly increasing, it’s clear that there’s still a long way to go towards getting rid of the gender gap both at university and in the workplace.
